I know, I know. We’ve all heard the inspirational phrases saying, “Nothing is impossible” and I’ll tell you that some things are, in fact impossible purely because the scientific facts prevent them from being possible. Walking on the surface moon without a spacesuit is impossible. Time travel is also impossible.

However, I’m sure that there are some brilliant minds trying to figure out how to make both of those impossibilities possible at this very moment. What I do want to talk about today though are problems that arise in our life that seem impossible, but are actually solvable with a little creative thinking. So, what does it take to come up with solutions to problems that seem impossible? Read on to find out.

Creativity
Many times, a problem hasn’t been solved because no one has had the creativity to think outside the box of normal procedures to think of a new way to solve the problem. Creative thinking is one of the most important keys to problem solving because it lets you think beyond the boundaries already in place and come up with something that has never been tried before.

Perseverance
Sometimes, and impossible problem can take months or years to solve, so you have to be able to stick with it if solving this issue is important to you. If at first you don’t succeed, try again and again and again. It takes dogged dedication to come up with a solution for a seemingly impossible problem.

Drive
Without drive, you certainly won’t find the strength to persevere. Drive is what keeps you going when the coffee and inspiration have run dry. Drive will help you push forward even when you think you have exhausted every option. Drive is what will give you that last push to find the solution you need.

Community
Oftentimes, solutions to impossible problems do not involve one person. They involve a group of people, meaning you have got to be able to trust the community surrounding the problem. If you problem solve as a team, you’ll have more ideas, more energy and more inspiration.

Time
As I said with perseverance, sometimes solutions just take time to manifest. You have to have patience when you start working on a difficult problem. The solution may not come right away. Give it time and add creativity, perseverance, drive and community and you’re sure to come up with a solution to a seemingly impossible problem.
