People start a coaching program expecting miracles. They believe the work will be done for them. The reality is the work is done by them. And this is learning and retention of knowledge at its best. Here are a few pointers on how to get the most from your coaching program.
  1. List what you really want in life. Coaching works best when you have goals. But not any old goals. Goals that are based on your needs and values.
  2. Build a strong personal foundation. Assess your core values and your belief system about what is possible.
  3. Get to know yourself for the ‘first’ time. Don’t be surprised if you start to discover new parts of your self. You will find your goals adjusting to who you really are.
  4. Double your level of willingness. Be willing to experiment with fresh approaches and be open to redesign the parts of your life that are getting in your way.
  5. Be prepared with an agenda. In between calls, keep track of your success and wins, how you faced them and what you are currently working on. Include any new insights, awareness’ and skills your developed or want to.
Incorporating the above list will assist you in accomplishing what you intended and even more of what surprised you. You will be able to live a more integrated, fulfilled personal and professional life, using the gifts you have and enjoying your life as it was meant to be enjoyed.
